Pinterest Integration Use Case

1. Summary

IQPins is a managed content marketing and creative workflow service for Pinterest Business users. The service helps businesses provide original images, prepare Pin drafts, plan boards and receive managed publishing support for approved content.

The core user value is faster production of Pinterest-ready creative assets while keeping users in control through review, approval and approved publishing plans.

2. User workflow

1. The user creates an IQPins account.
2. The user provides a business-owned image or prepares an original image inside IQPins.
3. The user connects a Pinterest Business account through a secure account connection process.
4. IQPins reads permitted Pinterest information such as boards and account context.
5. IQPins creates original Pin drafts from the user’s own content sources.
6. The user reviews each Pin draft, including title, description, destination URL, image and board selection.
7. The user approves selected Pins and confirms the planned publishing workflow action.
8. IQPins provides managed publishing support for approved content when the connection is available for the account.
9. IQPins records the publication result and shows it in the user’s publishing history.

3. Requested capabilities

IQPins requests only the account capabilities required for the implemented workflow:

• Identify the connected Pinterest Business account and display connection status.
• Retrieve boards so users can select appropriate destinations for approved Pins.
• Allow users to create or update boards when explicitly requested.
• Display and manage Pin status where required by the product workflow.
• Support publishing for Pins selected and approved by the user when available for the connected account.

Future features such as shopping catalog support or ads management would require separate review and additional permissions before use.

4. Pinterest data use

IQPins uses Pinterest connection data only to provide user-facing product features, including account connection, board planning and managed publishing workflow support for approved Pins.

IQPins does not sell Pinterest connection data. IQPins does not use Pinterest connection access to create fake engagement, perform hidden actions, scrape unrelated Pinterest content or act without user authorization.

5. Security and account connection handling

• Users authorize access through a secure account connection process.
• IQPins never asks for Pinterest passwords.
• Stored Pinterest connection credentials, where applicable, are protected server-side.
• Users can disconnect Pinterest access from IQPins account settings or revoke access through Pinterest controls where available.
• Connection events and publishing actions are logged for security and support purposes.

6. User control and compliance controls

IQPins is designed as a review-first workflow. Generated content is treated as draft content until the user reviews and approves it.

• Users review every Pin draft before publishing.
• Users can edit, reject or approve drafts.
• Users choose or confirm the board and destination URL.
• Publishing actions are visible in the dashboard.
• IQPins uses user-provided original business materials as the source for content generation.

7. Demo flow for Pinterest review

A demo video for Standard Access review should show:

1. Creating or logging into an IQPins test account.
2. Starting the Pinterest account connection process.
3. Completing the connection and returning to IQPins.
4. Uploading a business-owned image or generating an original image.
5. Creating a Pin draft.
6. Reviewing a draft and approving one selected Pin.
7. Scheduling content you have prepared or publishing the approved Pin when available.
8. Viewing publishing status and history.
